Thanks for Dr Gary Harfitt from the University of Hong Kong for bringing us the academic talk about English language learning. From the talk, our students got the idea that “Everyday English” is very different from “Academic English” while both are very important to our language development. They also understood that English is not only about tests or scores, but it is also a window to the world.
