On April 5, 2024, HK01 reported that our school’s exchange group visited Xinjiang Hetian Region in March. During the visit, students from The ELCHK Yuen Long Lutheran Secondary School and Xinjiang Hetian No. 5 Middle School planted a tree together, attended a class together, sang a song together, and danced together. They also formed a sister school relationship, fostering a strong connection between Yuen Long and Xinjiang and promoting Chinese culture on a deeper level.
The students from The ELCHK Yuen Long Lutheran Secondary School also explored various local attractions, experienced the local customs, sampled the delicious cuisine, and enjoyed the captivating songs and dances, immersing themselves in the beauty of Xinjiang. Through learning about the historical and cultural aspects of Xinjiang Hetian, they came to understand the rich Chinese civilization that has been created by the diverse ethnic groups of China, cultivating a deep sense of patriotism.
