With the emphasis put on broadening students’ perspective and developing their cultural awareness, our school has joined the AFS Host School Program. This year, we are hosting two exchange students, one from Italy, and another from Venezuela, who attend classes with our students and interact with them inside and outside of classroom. At the same time, one of our students has joined the AFS Year Exchange Program and has been given the opportunity to immerse in a foreign learning environment in Flanders, Belgium for ten months as an exchange student. We have also formed a partnership with AFS Intercultural Exchanges, under which the organization would provide opportunities for our students to participate in local and overseas intercultural activities and programmes to widen their global vision.

“Having the chance to participate in the AFS Year Exchange Program is a dream come true for me. During the pandemic, joining exchange programs was nearly impossible, so I was overjoyed when I learned that I had the chance to go to Belgium as an exchange student. I am sure the experience as an exchange student will be a transformative experience for me, and I am eager to grow as I immerse myself in a new culture and way of life. I am incredibly grateful for the unwavering support and encouragement I have got from the school and my parents. They have been highly supportive of my decision and have provided me with guidance and resources I need. I am excited to see where the journey will take me to, and I am confident that this experience will broaden my horizons and help me develop my perspectives on life.”
