The 58th Speech Day

The 58th Speech Day of our school was successfully held. We were deeply honored to have Mr. LUI Kin, MH, Member of the National Committee of the CPPCC, practicing lawyer in China, and Yuen Long District Councilor, as our guest of honor to deliver heartfelt congratulations and words of wisdom to our S6 graduates. This year, we also invited principals from various primary schools in the district to witness this precious milestone. After the ceremony, guests took warm commemorative photos with the graduates, leaving behind wonderful memories of cross-school fellowship. The presence of our school directors, parents, and friends from all walks of life added to the warm and celebratory atmosphere.

In his address, Mr. LUI Kin congratulated the students on successfully graduating and beginning a new chapter in their lives. He also expressed his gratitude to the dedicated teachers and selfless parents. He highlighted the rapid development of Yuen Long, noting that the Northern Metropolis has been officially included in the national 15th Five-Year Plan, unlocking vast resources for technological innovation and employment opportunities with immense potential. He encouraged the young graduates to embrace perseverance, shoulder their responsibilities, and build a strong sense of national identity. He urged them to continue learning, stay innovative, and align their personal aspirations with the development of Hong Kong and the nation, seizing the infinite opportunities in the Greater Bay Area to bravely pursue their dreams.

Principal Mr. WAN also offered his warmest blessings to the graduates. Looking back on their six years of school life, he noted how students had overcome numerous challenges together, growing with the spirit of “Excellence with Love”. In the face of the new AI era, Mr. WAN encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones and dare to put their ideas into practice. He urged them to refine themselves through six core qualities: faith, gratitude, optimism, self-discipline, empathy, and justice, thereby creating unique personal value. He concluded with a heartfelt “We love you”, wishing every graduate a bright and brilliant future.

The atmosphere of the ceremony was moving and warm. Teachers and students joined in singing graduation songs, and the audience enjoyed wonderful performances including dance, a cappella, handbells, and the school orchestra. The ceremony concluded with the traditional turning of the tassel and the tossing of caps, officially marking a perfect end to their secondary school journey. Carrying with them the memories and care of their alma mater, we wish all our graduates a smooth journey ahead as they set sail toward their bright futures!
