The 4th ParentPro Career Expo Concludes Successfully

Faced with the critical moments of elective subject selection, JUPAS applications, and career planning, how can we guide students toward a clear direction? To help Secondary 3 and Secondary 5 students explore their personal interests and gain a deep understanding of industry trends, the school’s Careers and Life Planning Education Committee was honored to invite 17 parents from various fields to serve as speakers, passionately sharing their workplace experiences, professional insights, and industry outlooks.

At the beginning of the event, Principal Mr. WAN Ho-yin shared a story about two ants: one ant only focused on picking up food scraps around it, remaining complacent; the other dared to explore its surroundings and look at the broader environment, willing to go the extra mile to find food. When autumn and winter arrived, the latter, with a broader perspective and vision, was able to find enough food to overcome difficulties. This profound story serves as a metaphor, enlightening students that on the path to finding their aspirations, they need not only diligence and pragmatism but also a broad vision and forward-thinking mindset. The event was named “ParentPro”, where “Pro” represents not only professional support and companionship but also carries the meanings of foresight and positivity. We hope to use professional strength to guide children, allowing students to have a broader sky and a clear compass in their hearts, combining the development of knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes to practice down-to-earth career planning.

Subsequently, the parent guests engaged in in-depth group exchanges with the students. The students listened attentively and asked questions enthusiastically, gaining valuable career inspirations from the guests.
