In recent years, our school has formed sister school partnerships with universities overseas, through which, with Principal’s nomination, students can be admitted to international institutions before HKDSE. Recommendations will be made with reference to the predicted level scores based on their results in internal examinations. Our S.6 students who are nominated by our principal and pass the admission interview and/ or aptitude test would receive a direct/ conditional admission offer from the university before HKDSE.
The schools in partnerships include:
- Tsinghua University
- University of Alberta
- Rikkyo University
- University of Aizu
- F. Oberlin University
- Konkuk University
- Tunghai University
- Lunghwa University of Science and Technology
with each providing about three places or more each year for our students to be admitted to undergraduate programmes. Tsinghua University, Beijing has invited our school to nominate students for admission, exempt from taking the Joint Entrance Examination for Mainland Institutions. Below are the words of gratitude from our alumni who have been admitted to Tsinghua University:
CHEUNG Yee-man (2019), graduate of the School of Journalism and Communication, Tsinghua University
“I would love to explore journalism and media industry in the Mainland. I was truly grateful for the career teachers at my alma mater, who recommended me to join a summer camp at Tsinghua and for the principal’s nomination and support. My years in Beijing have equipped me with a national perspective and international vision.”
FAN Lok-yi (2022), Year 2 student at the School of Law, Tsinghua University
“I was particularly proud to be part of the Lutheranians’ family, where I have learned not only knowledge from textbooks, but also the conduct of life from my teachers. The school motto “Rectify Mind, Cultivate Person” always reminds me of the essence of moral principles. I also bear the belief “Excellence with Love” in my mind, achieving high and contributing myself to the needy in the society.”
*As of 2023, 66 admission offers have been received by our students
