Our school’s Chinese Language Department organized a Gifted Education Activity called “Walk with A Scholar”, and we were fortunate to invite Dr. HO Chi-hang, Assistant Professor of Teaching at the Department of Chinese Language Studies, the Education University of Hong Kong, to conduct a cultural workshop on Chinese mythology under the theme of “The Cultural Implications of Myths and Legends of China” for our S.2 students. Through sharing different mythological stories, Dr. HO encouraged students to think deeply about their core messages, and in the process, deepened their understanding and interest in Chinese language and culture. The students also gained a greater appreciation for the profoundness and richness of Chinese culture, and thoroughly enjoyed the workshop.
