18 September was YLLSS’s first Refreshing Day and Cat Friday! In the morning, our school cat Shunshun arrived on campus, looking forward to interacting with teachers and students.
In the afternoon, accompanied by the flowing strains of The Blue Danube, Mobile Softee came to school and served cool soft-serve ice cream to all teachers and students. Whether Form 1 newcomers or students of every year group, everyone felt the campus’s abundant warmth and care in that dense, sweet flavour.
Each class ran its own activities, including board games, team games, sports, and 3D art creation. Through this first Refreshing Day, teachers and students could get to know one another, relax, and build class cohesion, while also drawing teachers, students, and peers closer together.
In this Happydemic atmosphere full of joy, healing, and companionship, may every Lutheranian restore body and mind, recharge their energy, welcome the new school year, and move firmly toward their growth goals!
