HK01 – A Form 1 Student Who Breathes Music

Principal Mr. WAN was recently invited by HK01 to write an article. Following the themes of “Interregional Sisterhood – Spanish Exchange Students: Giving and Receiving” in October and “Unity Between School and Home, Allowing Mainland Students in Hong Kong to Shine” in December, this time the focus is on “A Form 1 Student Who Breathes Music,” which vividly narrates the musical journey of our school’s Form 1 student, HO Wing-sze Vincy!

At the ELCHK Yuen Long Lutheran Secondary School, there is a special Form 1 student – Vincy. Her musical talent is as warm as the sunshine. Starting to learn the piano at the age of five, she has already received multiple music awards, but her achievements are not the sole focus. Vincy’s sincerity and spirit of sharing make her an inspiration to her classmates.

Vincy’s father resigned from work to wholeheartedly support her musical dreams, allowing her to freely soar in the ocean of music. She believes that music is an extension of life, capable of conveying emotions and creativity. Therefore, during performances, she bravely arranges music to give it more life.

The educational philosophy of the ELCHK Yuen Long Lutheran Secondary School has enabled Vincy to find her own path, and the school’s support has enabled her continuous growth. Principal Mr. WAN also believes that the power of love is the most important aspect of education, and only by nurturing with care can every student show their radiance.
