National Speech Gold Award Winner Visits RTHK: Speaking Out the Voice of Youth

Our student, CHAU Tsz-ching, was invited to participate in RTHK’s Mandarin program, “Showcasing Campus Brilliance”, in the segment “Career Exploration: I’m a Little Orator”, where she shared her journey to becoming a young orator with listeners.

Previously, CHAU won the gold award in the 4th China Children’s Golden Bell Speech Competition National Finals. In her interview, she shared her insights on writing speeches. She believes that using real stories as the blueprint for her speeches and carefully considering the lessons and principles behind them were key to her standing out among many contestants.

Furthermore, the host asked CHAU about her unforgettable experiences during the competition. She stated that from the moment she decided to participate, it was already an unforgettable experience. Having always lacked the courage to step out of her comfort zone, she is very grateful for Principal Mr. WAN’s support and the school’s consistently fostered “happydemic” campus atmosphere, which allowed her to grow and learn in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

Many people consider public speaking extremely challenging, but the school’s warm and pleasant learning environment allowed her to face challenges with a positive and optimistic attitude, overcoming her fear. With the encouragement of her teachers and the support of her family, she finally mustered the courage to actively register for the competition. She overcame numerous obstacles, successfully advancing to the finals and winning excellent results in both the Hong Kong and national competitions.

The program was aired on April 28th! Watch it now!
