Pride of YLLSS: Illuminating Life Through Rectify Mind Cultivate Person

The 13th ELCHK Joint-School Outstanding Student Award Ceremony was successfully held on 22nd May at ELCHK Fanling Lutheran Secondary School. We are thrilled to announce that our student, TSE Tsz-yau Chloe (5A), was honored with the prestigious “Most Outstanding Student (Secondary School Category)” award!

In her acceptance speech, Chloe expressed her deep gratitude for the precious cultivation and opportunities provided by YLLSS over the past five years. As the Head Prefect, she has always kept the teaching of “self-discipline over external discipline” close to her heart. Through leading the handbell team, she fully committed herself to every performance, cherishing every moment played alongside her teammates. She truly enjoyed the stage and experienced the profound growth and satisfaction that comes from teamwork.

She also extended her heartfelt thanks to Principal Mr. WAN, her teachers, the entire staff—including the janitors and support staff—her classmates, and her family for their silent companionship. In this environment filled with love, she was able to pursue excellence and grow into an outstanding “Lutheranian” who embodies both excellence and love.

We would also like to congratulate the following award-winning students:

Outstanding Students: WONG Hoi-ching (6C), CHAN Bernice (5A), YAU Sum-yu (5C)

Merit Students: CHAN Yan-yuet (4A), WONG Lok-gi (4A), YIP Pui-ching (4A), YUEN Jeanne (4A)

The entire school takes great pride in our students’ achievements in both academics and character! Our school remains committed to providing diverse opportunities for students to discover their potential and excel in their respective fields of talent.

As noted by the guest of honor, Mr. YIH Dieter, JP, Chairman of the Quality Education Fund Steering Committee: “Becoming an outstanding student mark the beginning of taking on greater responsibilities”. Inspired by his encouragement, we look forward to seeing all our students bravely face challenges and take up the mission of serving society and contributing to the nation. We wish all Lutheranians continued success as they shine brightly and become role models for others and the pride of our school!
