Thanksgiving Day

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

An annual special occasion for all Lutheranians, Thanksgiving Day, was successfully held on 8th June. The activity once again reminded us to always be thankful to our God, teachers, and parents. Only through being grateful and repaying kindness can we learn to appreciate others. It is God’s love, teachers’ dedication to teaching, and parents’ support that make the seemingly impossible possible when we face adversities. Thank you to all teachers, staff, janitors, social workers, pastors, parents, and students for brightening up our school with kindness and love. During the assembly, the parents expressed their goodwill to the staff and students, reminding everyone that every word and action can also become a blessing to others. Teachers and students also made towel flowers to express their gratitude for the home-school cooperation.

With words of thanksgiving, God’s will and teachings of “giving thanks in all things” permeated the campus throughout the week, which echoed with what Principal Mr. WAN said and one of the values YLLSS passes on to each Lutheranian – being “thankful”.

2 Corinthians 9:15
“Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!”
