The Yuen Long District Primary School Inter-School AI Micro-Music Animation Creation Competition, hosted by our school, was successfully held on 20th June.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the five participating primary schools: Chung Sing School, Kwong Ming Ying Loi School, Chiu Yang Primary School of Hong Kong, ELCHK Lutheran School, and L.S.T. Leung Kau Kui Primary School (Branch). Their participation allowed students to showcase their boundless creativity!
Throughout the competition, students utilized AI for everything from conceptualizing themes and enriching scripts to adjusting visuals and pairing sound effects. They practiced teamwork and overcame various challenges to experience the full creative process. During the sharing session, our Principal Mr. WAN noted that this year can be considered the “Inaugural Year of AI”, with AI technology having a profound impact across all global sectors. He emphasized that because everyone has unique strengths, Team-Based Learning (TBL) has become particularly important, encouraging students to learn collaboration and mutual support.
Furthermore, our school will continue to drive innovation in AI-powered teaching. In the future, we will formally introduce NotebookLM tools to reduce “AI hallucinations”, allowing it to serve as a “Personal AI Tutor” to assist students in their learning and creation. Our Principal Mr. WAN also revealed that the school will host a NotebookLM Competition next year, continuing to build platforms for AI learning and competition so that students can stay ahead of technological trends!
