On the morning of 14th October, we were deeply honored to invite Evangelist MS. YAP Kwan from Tin Yiu Life Lutheran Church to attend and bestow blessings upon the new Form One students, together with Principal Mr. WAN, Vice Principal Mr. TAM, Ms. TANG, and Mr. CHAN, and Assistant Principal Ms. WAI, and Ms. CHEUNG!
Principal Mr. WAN used the example of an eagle to encourage students to trust in God and strive for excellence. He likened parents to ‘Eagle Parents,’ who silently support their children in different stages. He shared the hope that, like young eagles nurtured in the protective currents of their parents, our students would achieve great success under God’s blessings. Furthermore, Mr. WAN shared his profound feelings when writing blessing cards for nearly a thousand students across the whole school each year, marveling at the students’ vigorous and rapid growth. He hoped that throughout their six years of secondary school, every time the students open the wooden box containing the blessings and see the cards filled with well wishes, the cards filled with well wishes would serve as vital support and encouragement on their journey. This heartfelt sharing helped all the teachers and students to better appreciate the significance and importance of the Blessing Ceremony.
Finally, Ms. YAP, Principal Mr. WAN, Vice Principals and Assistant Principals offered a prayer of blessing for the S1 students and presented them with small wooden boxes containing heartfelt blessings. These cards symbolize the peace, joy, love, and faith that come from God, inspiring our students to continue their journey of learning and growth, achieving their goals and benefiting humanity, just like an eagle in flight.
May every new S1 student grow strong and realize their unlimited potential on this journey!
