Multicultural Week – Chinese Culture Segment

During this Multicultural Week, Chinese culture took center stage, offering students a rich and exciting cultural experience. A dedicated team of teachers and students meticulously organized various distinctive activities, allowing everyone to immerse themselves in the profound heritage of Chinese culture from multiple perspectives. Students not only enjoyed inspiring lion dance performances, graceful Chinese dance, and powerful Chinese drum music during the Multicultural Gala, but also journeyed into the brilliant and splendid history of the Tang Dynasty through immersive technological activities, experiencing the charm of a thousand-year-old culture up close.

In terms of traditional craft experiences, students personally crafted Song brocade pearl wind chimes, Chinese paper cuttings, fragrant sachets, beaded ornaments, and windmills, among other items, experiencing the exquisite craftsmanship of Chinese artistry through hands-on practice. Furthermore, traditional recreational activities such as Touhu (pitch-pot) and archery were offered, complemented by tea tasting sessions. This allowed teachers and students to immerse themselves in the unique charm of traditional market culture and tea culture through interactive play and tranquil tea appreciation. The Mandarin Confucius Story Drama, presented in a lively and interactive format, showcased the profound cultural essence of classical Chinese heritage.

As the inaugural Multicultural Week, the Chinese culture segment was exceptionally rich in content and profound in significance. It enabled teachers and students to personally experience, learn, and inherit excellent traditional Chinese culture in a joyful atmosphere, fostering a sense of national identity and belonging.
