Stepping Beyond the Classroom to Explore Infinite Career Possibilities

Last Saturday, our senior form students participated in the “Companion with You” Greater Bay Area Corporate Visit. By visiting industry leaders, students broadened their horizons and gained fresh inspiration for their career planning.

Our students first visited the iconic China Resources Tower (the “Spring Bamboo”) in Nanshan, Shenzhen—a core base for this national state-owned enterprise. They gained deep insights into the group’s operational models and its diverse industrial landscape, spanning urban construction, healthcare, energy, and finance. They also observed the close connection between corporate talent cultivation and urban development, experiencing the daily reality of a professional workplace firsthand.

Next, the group visited DOBOT (越疆科技), where they had the chance to see cutting-edge technology in smart robotics and robotic arms. They caught a glimpse of trends in the high-end tech innovation industry and learned how these technologies are widely applied in everyday life, such as in healthcare and catering. It was truly an eye-opening experience.

The greatest takeaway from this exchange tour was guiding students to move beyond vague imaginings of the future. Instead, they learned to use the SMART principles—setting goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound—for their own academic and career paths. Through firsthand exploration and close observation of industry ecosystems, students can now align their growth directions with their own interests, abilities, and aspirations, steadily planning their future to seize the infinite opportunities within the Greater Bay Area.
