The Opening Ceremony of the school year 2022/23 was successfully held on 1 September 2022. This year, parents also witnessed this important moment through live broadcast.
“In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37) The former school supervisor, Rev. LAM Yat-kwan Jenny, shared this scripture in the ceremony. She highlighted the importance of perseverance and utilising the god-given talents to combat the challenges under the pandemic; and encouraged students to pursue their dreams and construct a better world.
“A daily increment of 1% makes 37 times of difference after one year.”Our Principal, Mr. WAN Ho-yin, shared the “atomic principle of progress” in his speech. He affirmed the individual’s ability to change the world through making constant progress and self-perfection; and encouraged the students using the high university admission rate of 86% and the outstanding alumni’s experience in 2022 HKDSE. Lastly, he concluded with the school motto, ‘Rectify Mind, Cultivate Person’ and cast expectations on fellow Lutheranians to perfect their morality and enhance their ability, so as to serve a bigger community and the country in the future.
