2026 YLLSS Lunar New Year Fair YLL Stride and Shine Shareholders’ Meeting

The Lunar New Year Fair Shareholders’ Meeting was held on 7th January 2026. We extend our gratitude to the Principal, teaching staff, parents, and students for their support and attendance. The event saw a large turnout and a lively atmosphere! Through the meeting, the organizing committee introduced the theme, products, and schedule of the Lunar New Year Fair, allowing participants to understand the design concepts behind products such as plush toy “Siusiu Horse”, “Hoho Horse”, “Shunshun Cat”, windmills, and Nine Blessings stickers. One of the objectives of the shareholders’ meeting was to gather collective strength and support the students in organizing the Lunar New Year Fair through share subscriptions.

Vice Principal Ms. TANG shared the importance of the Lunar New Year Fair for students’ growth and learning, providing opportunities to train their leadership skills and teamwork. She also evoked memories of past Lunar New Year Fairs with themes such as “Chill Chill Snake”, “Shining Dragon”, “Sudden Chicken”, and “Love Lasts Forever,” showcasing the inheritance and creativity of the YLLSS family.

The student organizing committee highly valued this shareholders’ meeting, which brought Lutheranians together to support the Lunar New Year Fair activities and put important business theories into practice. With the accounting knowledge, they conduct CVP analysis, calculating costs, expected revenue, and break-even points, and applied economic concepts to formulate marketing strategies and shape the YLLSS brand. During the preparation period, students enhanced their leadership skills, event planning, and presentation techniques. After deducting costs and refunding shareholder capital, 50% of the profits from the “Shunshun Cat” plush toy will be donated to the “Hong Kong Saving Cat and Dog Assoication” to support stray cats and dogs, and the remaining 50% along with other Lunar New Year Fair proceeds will be allocated to the “School Development Fund” to help students in need.

The Lunar New Year Fair activities are profoundly meaningful, not only allowing Lutheranians to apply what they have learned but also providing an opportunity to train their leadership and initiative, improving skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and time management. The true purpose is to grow through learning, experience the warmth of society, rather than simply pursuing profit. Through giving back to society, students demonstrate a sense of responsibility towards society and animals, establish good values, and learn to convey love and care.

The organizing committee is very grateful for the full support of the Principal, Vice Principal, teachers, and parents. The school provided important support in product design, Lunar New Year Fair song creation, customized products, promotional video shooting, logistics arrangements, and venue rental. All this support is not to be taken for granted; without their cooperation, the Lunar New Year Fair activities would have been difficult to proceed smoothly. The gratitude of the Lutheranians not only enhanced the quality of the event but also promoted community cohesion, allowing every participant to feel the power of teamwork.

We hope everyone continues to support the YLLSS Lunar New Year Fair. See you at Stall 11, Tung Tau Industrial Area Playground, from 11th to 16th February, 2026!
