Japanese Intensive Course (as an Elective)

Subject Features

Students enrolled in this course will complete the N5 to N3 curriculum over two academic years (S.4–S.5), totaling approximately 200 hours of study. Results obtained in the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N3 may be included in the HKDSE Category C results. Most universities recognize a pass in JLPT N3 as equivalent to Level 4 in the HKDSE. Admission considerations and decisions are subject to the policies of individual universities and JUPAS, including their respective score conversion systems.

Flipped Classroom

Students are expected to study online materials and complete assigned exercises prior to each face-to-face lesson. This preparation enables them to engage actively with teachers and apply their knowledge during class interactions. Post-lesson consolidation exercises will also be provided. This student-centered approach reverses the traditional teaching model, allowing students to absorb new information at their own pace and use classroom time for deeper learning and practical application under the guidance of their teachers.
