Students from our school and our sister school, USUI High School in Fukui, Japan, participated in an online cultural exchange programme on 25 May 2022. In the conference, students not only got the chance to know one another and understand each other’s culture, but they also exchanged ideas on social issues in the two regions, ranging from childcare, ageing to conservation. The advancement in technology allows us to transcend geographical limitation, allowing students to engage in meaningful exchanges with their peers from sister schools much more easily. Such shortening of distance is not only favourable to the development of friendship, but it is also conducive to the nurturing of a generation of global citizens.
