The 2026 Seoul Business Study Tour enabled Lutheranians to engage deeply with the powerful convergence of technological innovation and modern business practices.
Technological Innovation & Future Imagination
The journey began at the Seoul Robot & AI Museum, where students explored the boundaries of human-machine coexistence, reflecting on how AI—despite its power—cannot replace human intuition and abstract thought. This was followed by a visit to the Samsung Innovation Museum, witnessing the evolution of semiconductor and display technologies and learning how continuous R&D investment propels a local enterprise onto the global stage.
Media Practice & Financial Talent Navigation
In the realms of media and finance, students experienced broadcasting at KBS On and witnessed the digital transformation of financial markets at the KRX Exchange. Through exchanges with international students at Konkuk University and an exclusive interview with Hong Kong entrepreneur Kim, students gained deep insights into the real-world application of cross-cultural communication and crisis management, realizing that efficiency and adaptability are core to competitiveness.
Cultural Creativity & Tourism Economy
Finally, the itinerary delved into South Korea’s “Experience Economy”. From kimchi making and Hanbok experiences that demonstrate the power of cultural export, to the urban renewal of Seongsu-dong, students observed the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (ESG) and product differentiation. Moving between the historic walls of Suwon Hwaseong and modern fashion hubs, Lutheranians successfully integrated professional business knowledge with personal growth over this transformative five-day journey.
