YLLSS’s Handbell Teams Shone at the 16th Hong Kong International Handbell Olympics

The Hong Kong International Handbell Olympics is a prestigious event in the handbell community, which provides a platform for handbell enthusiasts to exchange ideas and showcase their talents. Over the years, the competition has attracted numerous high-caliber teams, playing a significant role in promoting and popularising handbell music!
Our school’s Handbell Team B delivered an outstanding performance in the Advanced Division, achieving a remarkable score of 98 out of 100 and earning the Gold Award in the independently judged category! This marks the highest score in the competition’s 16-year history, surpassing even last year’s results. Mr. David Harris, the renowned director and honorary star conductor of the American handbell ensemble The Raleigh Ringers, who served as a judge, praised the team’s exceptional performance and specifically acknowledged their hard work and dedication. The students were moved to tears with joy! Additionally, Team A also performed excellently in the Intermediate Division, securing the Prestige Silver Award!
Both teams expressed deep gratitude to the school for providing opportunities that allowed them to grow and excel through various competitions. We look forward to our handbell teams achieving even greater success in the future!
