This year’s “Global Project 3.0 – Global Project” officially commenced on 11th December, 2025! Our school is honored to collaborate with a total of eight sister schools from Mainland China, Hong Kong, China, and Japan, including Pinghu Donghu Middle School in Zhejiang Province, Guangzhou No. 3 Middle School, Xinjiang Hotan No. 5 Middle School, Lingnan Secondary School, Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) College, Fukui Prefectural Usui Senior High School, J. F. Oberlin Junior and Senior High School, and the newly joined Momoyama Junior High School Attached to Kyoto University of Education. The event was themed around traditional games, allowing students to interact and exchange through game culture, learn about the unique characteristics of different regions, and forge deep friendships.
The event kicked off with student representatives from the nine schools introducing traditional games from their respective regions. Our students shared two traditional crafts: string figures (cat’s cradle) and paper cutting. The nimble string weaving techniques and exquisite paper-cut patterns showcased the unique aesthetics and underlying wisdom of Chinese culture. Lingnan Secondary School presented the classic paper folding game “East, South, West, North,” a simple paper game full of surprises and collective memories. Hotan No. 5 Middle School introduced the ancient ritual game Touhu (pitch-pot), explaining the role of this focus-demanding activity in ancient banquets and leading everyone to appreciate the elegance of traditional culture.
This year, a new partner matching program has been added to allow students from different regions to establish long-term connections and deepen their friendships through exchange.
Through the sharing and interaction among multiple schools, students not only learned about classic traditional games from various regions but also gained friendship, tolerance, and respect through cultural exchange.
