Our curriculum aims to develop scientific literacy through a wide range of chemistry-related learning experiences, through which students are equipped with the essential scientific skills for lifelong learning in science and technology. Through the learning of chemistry, students will apply the knowledge, concepts and skills to real-life scenario and develop an understanding on the relationship between science, technology, society and the environment.
Active Learning
In YLLSS, we adopt a wide range of assessment methods to evaluate students’ understanding and skills in Chemistry. We put a strong emphasis on the learning process rather than the outcome. The following approaches are adopted as part of our formative assessment.

- Assignments and quizzes
- Poster design
- Practical-related tasks
- Peer assessment
- Online learning and assessment
- Augmented Reality (AR)-related tasks
