The third meeting and closing ceremony of this year’s Global Project was successfully held on March 12, 2025! The event was filled with rich cultural sharing and exchange, allowing teachers and students to deeply appreciate the diversity and charm of different cultures.
Students from Fukui Prefectural Usui Senior High School (Fukui, Japan) shared the profound cultural significance of Japanese high school graduation ceremonies. They described how graduation ceremonies serve as an important milestone in a student’s life, symbolizing growth, gratitude, and the beginning of a new journey.
Next, Mr. KIM Jinseong from our school introduced Korea’s Gangneung Danoje, a traditional celebration recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Its cultural elements include traditional dances, folk games, and traditional foods, showcasing the Korean people’s respect for nature, ancestors, and the community.
During the summary session, Mr. Richard Taylor from Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) College (Hong Kong, China) and Ms. Bibi Kulsoom from our school shared the importance of appreciating cultural diversity and understanding how different cultures can broaden our perspectives and foster empathy.
At the closing ceremony, students presented their learning outcomes and shared their experiences during the program. Principal LI Linjie from Hotan No. 5 Middle School (Xinjiang, China) mentioned in his speech that the Global Project not only helps students build a global perspective but also opens a window to the world, broadening their horizons. Mr. Akira Kazamira from Fukui Prefectural Usui Senior High School (Fukui, Japan) emphasized that we should focus not on the differences between cultures but on mutual respect and understanding.
The Global Project has not only enhanced cultural exchange among students and deepened their understanding of various cultures but also fostered cross-cultural friendships among them. It has broadened their perspectives and helped them become the next generation with a global vision!
