Integrated Science

Learning Science Through Experiments

To enhance students’ interest and abilities in learning science, teachers will use various experiments to allow students to independently learn the relevant knowledge from textbooks through hypotheses, observations, questioning, experimentation, and conclusions. Compared to traditional paper-based teaching, students can more effectively learn and apply knowledge through experimental results.

Teaching Abstract Knowledge Through Technology

There are many abstract concepts in science curriculum. With the help of technology, like AR and VR, students can virtually experience and observe various structures and facilities, aiding them in learning abstract knowledge effectively.

Enhance Students’ Interest in STEAM

To increase students’ interest in STEAM subjects, the science department will organize various hands-on activities after classes to enhance students’ awareness of STEAM through practical engagement.

Diversified Assessment Model

To comprehensively assess students’ skills and knowledge in the science subject, in addition to the traditional written assessments, S.1 and S.2 students also need to conduct experiments every term to assess their skills in experiments and prepare for senior form science subjects.

Enrichment Courses

To address the learning differences among students in the science subject, the science department will recommend students with better abilities to participate in lectures where they can engage with speakers from universities to discuss knowledge not covered in textbooks, thereby enhancing students’ extracurricular knowledge and curiosity in science.

Additionally, students will also have the opportunity to participate in external competitions, allowing them to apply the knowledge they have learned in their daily studies through competitions and to understand the projects of other science students, thereby enriching their own scientific knowledge.
