“He that travels far knows much”, our geography students could truly understand and experience the wisdom of this saying. A twelve-day, eleven-night study tour to New Zealand was arranged by the Geography Department for all geography teachers and senior form students. The tour schedule was designated to cooperate with high school geography curriculum in order to promote deeper and active learning of students. The tour included the visits to the Thermal Wai-O-Tapu Wonderland, Mount Eden, Lake Pukaki, Waitomo Caves, Redwood Forest, International Antarctic Centre, Eglinton Valley, Mount Cook National Park, the Mueller Glacier, etc.. Through this valuable tour, students could definitely learn initiatively with much joy.
