This July, our School invited teachers and students from our mainland sister school Pinghu Donghu Middle School to join a real-time online tour in Xi’an, China. Students learnt the long history of the mainland’s culture and the mainland’s commitment to conservation work on cultural heritage. The Terracotta Warriors and Horses in Xi’an, China, are known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World”. It increased students’ understanding of their country and national identity.
In this activity, students joined a real-time visit of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of the First Emperor of Qin in Xi’an through the live-streaming platform VooV, arranged by professional local tour guides. The activity was a huge success, which enriched students’ learning experiences.
