Subject Features
Our junior form school-based enrichment programme, SALep, has the same name as a Turkish drink, which brings nourishment and pleasure to people. Not only can it enrich our students’ knowledge of sciences, arts and language, but it also arouses their interests in learning and provides a space for them to develop the whole person under the Hong Kong Education System. Science, Art and Language Enrichment Programmes (SALep) has been implemented since 2019-2020.
Assessment and Evaluation
SALep is implemented in S1-S2, with each student attending two lessons per cycle. In the first three months of each academic year, S1 and S2 students are required to complete the compulsory modules (Chinese Calligraphy or English Drama). From December onwards, students may select an elective module; all elective modules place equivalent focus on academic theory and students’ interest. A simple assessment system is adopted. Learning outcomes will be assessed by grades. 20 elective modules will be provided.
