The resumption of face-to-face classes

Under the resumption of face-to-face classes, emotional support to students should be prioritised. Students’ growth is much more important than the academic results of students.

Today was the day when all secondary schools in Hong Kong resume face-to-face classes, and school life is gradually returning to normal. With soft and peaceful hymns sung by our students, the Principal, Vice Principals, teachers and members of the Parent-Teacher Association cheered and blessed the students who returned to school. Parent-Teacher Association also gave candies to Lutheranians, hoping that they could feel refreshed and cared when they went back to school.

During online classes in the past few months, teachers and students relied on the connection of technology. While resuming face-to-face teaching, we did not forget to relax and have the most sincere exchange with each other. Not only did the School’s Counselling Committee arrange morning prayer session, but students and the class teacher could also gather and share how they felt about the resumption of face-to-face classes during the first period. Moreover, to enrich the learning experience of students and promote their physical and mental health, a movie appreciation activity was held so that students could feel relaxed when going to school. We believe that the resumption of face-to-face classes symbolises a bond of relationships.

The School has also arranged different activities such as the music performance of Music Balcony and the teacher-student ball games on the playground for the first month of the class resumption. Let us “recover” together from the recurrent epidemic!
