Tokyo Art and Culture Exploration Tour

Our first stop was at the heart of Tokyo’s digital art scene, where students navigated through a tech maze in Akihabara before breaking into the magical world of Harry Potter to experience how digital technology can inject endless possibilities into artistic creation! From video games and animation to immersive experiences, we explore how technology can expand the boundaries of art and bring unprecedented sensory shocks!

Next, we visited the Ueno Heart Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo to immerse ourselves in communication with the artworks and explore the charm of artistic language. Visiting Tsutaya Bookstore in Daikanyama, Kadokawa Musashino Museum and Pigment Tokyo, we experienced how designers integrate art into interior design, making the living environment pleasant and comfortable and allowing us to appreciate the charm of design.

In order to gain a deeper understanding of Japan’s modern and traditional culture, we wore shorts and walked on the streets of Asakusa and learned the tea ceremony. We then visited the Ukiyo-e Art Museum to learn about this art style that reflects society. On the last day, we walked along Takeshita Street in Harajuku to feel the vitality of Japan’s current young art and appreciate and understand the cultural changes in Japan from ancient times to the present.

Special thanks to Principal Mr. WAN for his support in preparing Harry Potter’s school uniform for us, allowing us to take beautiful photos in the museum!

This journey has undoubtedly broadened our horizons, inspired our creativity, and filled us with passion for exploring art!
