Connection with institutions overseas

In light of nurturing students to be global citizens, our school has established connections with institutions overseas to provide cultural exchange opportunities to students, widening their horizons and broadening their global vision, so that they can develop positive values. On 17 December 2021, our school attended a virtual signing ceremony with Fukui Prefectural Usui Senior High School, Japan, to renew the sister school collaboration, which aims at providing chances for students from both schools to engage in cultural exchange programmes and develop friendship. Besides, eight S2 and S3 students participated in a video conferencing cultural exchange programme with students from our sister school, The Affiliated Foreign Language School of South China Normal University in Guangzhou on 14 December 2021. Not only did students understand the differences between learning in two schools, but they could also develop positive attitude like respect, as well as friendship.

The connection our school has with institutions overseas does not only give students a wider exposure to other cultures, but it also provides students multiple pathways after graduation. Our school attended a virtual signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding with J. F. Oberlin University (Oberlin) under the Sister Schools Principal’s Nominations Schemes on 15 November 2021. Oberlin is a private university located in Machida, Tokyo. It is a renowned university comprised of a College of Arts and Sciences and four professional colleges, as well as a graduate division. Oberlin seeks to foster global citizens on the basis of Christian values. Under the sister school schemes, our S.6 students who are nominated by our Principal and pass the admission interview and aptitude test would receive a direct admission offer from the university before HKDSE.
