Diamond Jubilee Campus Exploration Tour 2018-19 was held on 16th December, 2018. Over 2,000 primary students along with their parents visited our campus. The event kicked off with the primary school girls’ basketball invitational match. It was a thrilling experience.
In the Diamond Jubilee Campus Exploration Tour, our students have been given a warm welcome to guest as they arrive in the entrance. Tour maps and gift cards were also prepared for each guest. Our campus ambassadors led the visitors to start from the tuck shop and toured along the ground floor corridor to various designated locations which feature the major projects this year, ‘Walk with Scholar’ and ‘Global Classroom’. This year, our guest can experience Augmented Reality (AR) to understand more about our school mission and major concerns. To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of our school, “Yuen‧Creation” Diamond Jubilee Visual Arts Exhibition, which showcased the art pieces of our students and alumni, was also held. Augmented Reality was incorporated in six of the art pieces.
At least 500 teachers and students were involved in this event. There were 15 activities designed for the visitors to participate including Physics experiments, A cappella and orchestra performance. In addition, there are also English game booths, Sandbox Experience, DIY book mark, 3D printing, Mathematics games and etc. It is worth mentioning that Japanese Culture Club, Korean Culture Club and 4WD Interest Group are newly established by our students this year to promote active learning.
