The signing of sister school agreement with J.F. Oberlin Junior and Senior High School

Our school signed the sister school agreement with J.F. Oberlin Junior and Senior High School in Japan on 3 April 2023 to strengthen educational exchanges and cooperation. The signing ceremony kicked off with the incredible handbell performance by the students of J.F. Oberlin Junior and Senior High School. Our Principal, Mr. WAN, expressed in his speech that the signing of the agreement signified that both schools would strive to build a better future for students of both schools.

After the signing ceremony, our school representatives, 4E SZE Lok-yan, 5A KIANG Sin-hang and 5A WONG Hoi-ning, gave a presentation on the “Global Program 3.0-Global Project” (G Project), a program newly launched by the International Cultural Exchange Committee this year, to the Principals, Vice-Principals, Assistant Principals, teachers and students of both schools, explaining the project’s objectives and content, the use of information technology, as well as the support our school would provide to participating schools. With the use of IT, geographical and language barriers would be overcome. Participants of the G Project could effectively communicate with students from other sister schools, and collaborate to conduct research on global issues.

Students who were in the STEM, History and Cultural Tour to Japan also had the chance to attend the ceremony and witness the signing of the agreement. They even had the opportunity the be led by the students of J.F. Oberlin Junior and Senior High School in a campus visit, in which they found out more about student life in Japan through exchanges. Such experience allowed them to explore Japan, as well as its life and culture, from multiple perspectives.
