Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 52nd Speech Day was postponed to the 4th November and was successfully held at the school hall. It was our honour to have Dr. CHIU Yung, Leo, Director of Yan Oi Tong the 41st Term Board of Directors, also an outstanding alumnus, as our Guest-of-Honour to officiate at the Speech Day. With more than 200 guests, including Principal Mr. WAN, Alumni Association, Parent-Teacher Association and parents, the graduation ceremony was embraced by abundant blessings.
Before the ceremony, representatives of S.6 graduates expressed their sincere gratitude by presenting the “Lighthouse” (海星燈塔) as a gift to Principal Mr. WAN and notepads they designed to teachers. As an appreciation and recognition for our students’ endeavours, certificates and scholarships were awarded to students by our school supervisor Reverend YEUNG Yau Chi, Jackson, Dr. CHIU Yung, Leo, Director of Yan Oi Tong the 41st Term Board of Directors, Mr. CHAN Wing Lim, William, BBS, JP, and Reverend LAM Yat Kwan, Jenny from The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hong Kong Tin Yiu Life Lutheran Church. With sincere gratitude, we were honoured to have received a generous donation from the estate of CHEUNG Ching Lan, Diana, to support our school in running the “Walk with Lutheranians in Love” Cheung Ching-lan, Diana University Study Fund, which aims at providing financial assistance to students who can live out our school motto “Rectify Mind Cultivate Person”. We were honoured to have invited Ms. NG Ming Chun Jenny, Mr. NG Ming Yuen William, Ms. NG Ming Mei Amy for the cheque presentation ceremony.
